The SimSIM app gives you a clear view of your data balance at all times. You can check how much is left, get notified before you run out, and top up without interrupting your trip — all from a single screen.

Checking your balance

1

Open the SimSIM app

Launch SimSIM on your phone.
2

View your active plan

Your active plan and remaining data allowance are displayed on the home screen as soon as you open the app.
3

See expiry and usage details

Tap on a plan to view its expiry date and usage history in full.

Low-data notifications

SimSIM automatically notifies you when your data balance is getting low, giving you enough time to top up before you lose your connection. Make sure notifications are enabled for the SimSIM app in your phone’s settings so you don’t miss the alert.

Data tips for travelers

Google Maps and Apple Maps allow you to download maps for offline use. Do this on Wi-Fi before you travel to save your SimSIM data for times when you really need a connection.
Connect to hotel and café Wi-Fi for streaming and large downloads. Use your SimSIM data for navigation, messaging, and quick lookups when you’re on the move.
On iOS, go to Settings → General → Background App Refresh and disable it for data-heavy apps like social media and cloud sync. This prevents apps from quietly consuming your allowance in the background.
Set YouTube, Instagram, and similar apps to a lower default video quality or enable their built-in data saver mode. High-definition video is one of the fastest ways to drain a data plan.

Data does not roll over

Unused data from a plan does not carry over after expiry. Your plan’s validity period is shown in the app — top up before it expires if you need more time or data.
